Things to know before your appointment
Jewerly
Here at 9th Gate, we follow the practices and procedures instructed by the Association for Professional Piercers (APP). We have regulations pertaining to the type of jewelry we use. As such, we do not use any other jewelry other than what we distribute to ensure that we are using the highest quality of jewelry. This includes any new piercings or changing out any pre-existing piercings. If you would like to learn more about the reason behind the jewelry, you can click here!
Age Limits
There are age limits when it comes to each of our piercings. Listed below are the different piercings and the minimum age requirement for them:
5+ (with parental consent): Lobe Piercings
12+ (with parental consent): Helix, Tragus, Conch, and Rook Piercings
14+ (with parental consent): Nostril, Septum Piercings, Forward Helix, Flat, Daith, Navel*, and Lip Piercings
18+: Nipple, Genital, Dermal, Tongue*, Eyebrow, and Industrial* Piercings
*Consultation required to ensure correct anatomy.*
Deposits
All piercings require a deposit to book appointments. All deposits are non-refundable. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your piercing.
ID Types
Upon arrival, you MUST provide a copy of your valid government-issued photo ID or two different valid non-photo, government-issued IDs. Without appropriate identification, you will not be permitted to be pierced (we can now accept photos of ID).
If you are under the age of 16 setting up this appointment, please make sure you have a parent or guardian present. Your guardian must ALSO have valid government-issued photo identification (must provide a copy, or you will lose your deposit). The guardian’s ID must either share a last name with the minor or an address, if it does not, other proof of guardianship must be provided. If you do not have valid government-issued photo identification, please bring a health card AND birth certificate.

$50: Helix, Forward Helix, Flat, Conch, Rook, Tragus, Anti-Tragus, Daith, Eyebrow, Bridge, Nostril, High Nostril, Lip, Navel, and Single Nipple Piercings
$60: Set of Lobes, and Septum Piercings
$65: Industrial, Tongue, and Genital Piercings
$75: Dermal Piercing
$90: Set of Nipple Piercings
